Maria is 1/3 of the Editors in Chief of Oleander Review. She is a senior double majoring in English and Psychology with a minor in Spanish. She hails from Brooklyn, NY and therefore has high standards for pizza and tends to talk fast. She writes for the Michigan Daily's Arts section and has a passion for all things poetic. She was part of the original team that revived Oleander in 2015 and cannot wait to help create a vibrant and fresh 2016-2017 collection of great work!

Srishti Gupta's name in Sanskrit means creation, hence she's creating art in the Stamps School of Art and Design (but that’s not the reason why she's in her current major). She'd like to pursue another degree either in Economics, Computer Science, or English, as well as work on interdisciplinary projects in the future. She enjoys poetry, traveling, Disney, reading, musicals, binge watching TV shows, mythology, anime and playing interactive, storytelling video games.

Kelly is a senior studying Women's Studies and Statistics with an interest in English Literature. She was raised on science fiction and fantasy, but has also grown an appreciation of realistic fiction and a deep love of poetry. Her favorite authors are Margaret Atwood, China Miéville, and Adrienne Rich. When she's not studying, she's usually reading, writing, or baking. This is her second year as an Oleander board member.

Brooke White is an undergraduate at the University of Michigan studying English and Creative Writing. She’s a Michigan native, with a penchant for prose and long conversations. When she’s not writing, reading or working, Brooke dances tango with the Argentine Tango club. On campus she’s a peer writing consultant and marketing communications intern. Off campus she spends her time traveling. Her favorite pieces of writing are "LaVita Nuova" by Allegra Goodman, "Interstellar" by Rebecca McClanahan, and Let's Explore Diabetes with Owls by David Sedaris.

Kaitlin (KB) is a student, but she is old as hell. In her younger years she studied English and International Studies. She is ready to read some dope poetry. For example, her 8th graders love acrostic poems. Dope.

Marisa Frey is a copy editor for both The Oleander Review and The Michigan Daily.  She is a junior studying English and History of Art and grew up in Traverse City, Michigan, where she learned to love winter and massive amounts of lake-effect snow.  Her (most recent) favorite book is The Lacuna by Barbara Kingsolver.
