submission guidelines
We will begin calling for submission from October 1 to January 5. We accept submissions from four categories: Fiction, Nonfiction, Poetry, and Art. Each category follows its own guidelines, which you can view below. You may submit to multiple categories, but you may submit to each category only once. All submissions should be uploaded via Submittable. Please do not email submissions.
ALL SUBMISSIONS

Include in your cover page your name, e-mail address, return address, phone number, titles of all works submitted and any relevant information. Please refrain from plot summary.

ART

No more than five images may be submitted.

FICTION

No more than one short story (no longer than 20 pages) may be submitted.

Double space and include page numbers.

NONFICTION

No more than one essay (no longer than 15 pages) may be submitted.

Please double space and include page numbers.

POETRY

No more than five poems may be submitted.

Poems may be single spaced.

If a poem goes beyond a page please include page numbers.

The Oleander Review reserves the right to accept or reject any submissions, and retains first-run rights to all accepted submissions.
